We all love to look at the Moon. Her shape is changing, just like our modes. We all know how different it is when it’s a full Moon or just the smallest piece when it is so dark. When I look at the Moon, I always think of how I would love to travel there. The preparation, the trip itself, the feeling when my foot will touch the cold Moon ground. How will I be light as a feather? So, I will talk about how that would be possible. There is still no Moonbase. There is an idea that China and Russia will work together, and by the end of 2030, there will be a place where humans can actually live. There are very interesting articles about how to build a moon base. My personal idea is that the moon base should be for all nations. Speaking about outer space and object there, there are no more different countries. There is only the human nation. And I hope they will have this in mind while constructing it.
Travelling to the Moon
Three days and a spacecraft. This is how much and what we need to get there. 386.40 km is the distance between our home and the Moon. There are mainly two people who are planning Moon and orbital visits. One of them is Jeff Bezos with his project Blue Origin, and the other one is Elon Musk with his project SpaceX, which is also involved with everything that will happen on Mars in the near future. There are few problems when we are speaking about traveling to the Moon.
- Moon landing is not planned and in the past was really postponed as there are many technical challenges and the risk is high.
- Get ready for changes like a dusty and cold accommodation, at night -150 degrees ….
- Disturbing noises coming from all the machines, like ventilation machines, pump energy sources
Anyway, very soon the Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa will be the first space tourist. It will happen around 2024. He plans to take 6-8 artists with him, so who knows, maybe the next one will be you?
When should we expect to live on Mars
It would not be so easy to travel to Mars. Everything can kill you there from the lack of oxygen to the temperature going below the Antarctic levels. Your blood would boil, and many other killer things could appear at any moment. So, we need to have a very good preparation plan. There are two possibilities. Living in the bubble city, or underground bases. There is also another option, which is living in a fungi house. Just like us, these mushroom needs air and food. So, it will be, in a way, like an ecosystem inside an ecosystem. The bacterium inside the fungi can use the energy from the Sun to convert water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and fungus food. How amazing is that?
The scientist & journalist Stephen Petranek says that within 20 years, humans will live on Mars. Or at least our kids will be involved in a project connected with building or inhabiting Mars.
What about other Earth-like planets
Earth is our home, the only place we can inhabit. I know it is important to try to save our home as much as possible, if possible, and honestly, we suck a lot competing for the task. But since many years ago, scientists have kept looking for a planet Earth-like, with a life condition that can work for humanity. We want to expand our human nation way beyond our galaxy, and we just need some basic things like air, water, sunlight, and many more. Scientists can’t find anything close comparable to our Earth even when exploring exoplanets, which are planets out of our solar system. There are few planets Earth-like. One of them discovered in 2015 is Kepler-442b. There are more than 4000 exoplanets, but only a few of them are potentially habitable.
All together or divided
One question is bordering me when I think about habituating other planets or traveling to other galaxies. Are we going to do it like one nation, or will we try to do it like we are now, divided by colour, religion, or speech?
If we want to succeed, first saving our planet Earth and then colonizing other planets or moving there, we need to start working together, better, and harder than ever before! What can make us unstoppable is to be reunited in one big nation and feel and think like one. All rules are to be always kept for all people. Think and feel like one.
Before I Go
It was a pleasure sharing with you those interesting facts. Go on the web and browse more about that topic. Sooner or later, we will be far away from our cosy home- Earth. And we better be ready!
